Starting from November 1, 2024, the Fondazione INDA will take over the management of ticketing for some of the most important archaeological sites in Syracuse: the Neapolis archaeoloigical park, the Paolo Orsi archaeological museum, Palazzo Bellomo gallery, and Maniace castle, temporarily replacing (currently until December 31, 2024) the previous manager, Aditus Culture, whose concession has expired pending a new concession tender.

The Superintendence for Cultural Heritage of Siracusa has announced that the Maniace Castle in Ortigia will remain closed to the public from September 14 to October 4, 2024 due to the G7 Agriculture and Fisheries meeting in Siracusa and the related Expo.
The Directorate of the Archaeological Park of Siracusa, Eloro, Akrai, and Villa del Tellaro has communicated that for security reasons related to the G7, the archaeological area of Neapolis will close at 2:00 PM on September 27, 2024.

The mobility and transport department of the municipality of Siracusa has issued an ordinance regulating the loading/unloading for tourist buses in Siracusa/Ortigia during the G7 Agriculture and Fisheries meeting. Tourist Bus Loading/Unloading Ortigia
Tourist buses may park at Molo S. Antonio parking lot, only for the time strictly necessary to load and unload passengers, with mandatory parking at “Elorina” parking lot.

With an official announcement on July 31, 2024, the Territorial Office for Siracusa of the Regional Department of Agriculture and Forestry announced the reopening to visitors of the "Scala Cruci" trail in the Cavagrande del Cassibile Nature Reserve, starting from August 3, 2024, when the official inauguration will take place at 10:00 AM in the presence of the authorities.
At the same time, it was announced that starting from August 5, 2024, the new entrance ticket to the nature reserve will come into effect with the following rates:
- Full ticket: € 2
- Reduced ticket: € 1 (law enforcement members, environmental associations, students, and scouts)
- Free ticket: for children under 8, disabled persons with a companion, and individuals authorized by the managing authority
