Baroque Ibla

Explore the enchanting Ragusa Ibla, an authentic gem of Sicilian Baroque! Join us for an engaging itinerary through the majestic architectures of the baroque historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover the remnants of the grand portal of San Giorgio, which will transport us to pre-earthquake Ragusa of 1693. We will then admire the magnificence of the 18th-century Duomo of San Giorgio, a perfect example of late Sicilian Baroque. As we walk through the picturesque streets, we will also visit the charming church of San Giuseppe, the lush Giardino Ibleo, and other iconic monuments of the city. But that's not all! During our tour, we will uncover the evocative locations that inspired the investigations of the famous Inspector Montalbano. This guided tour is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the art and history of Ragusa, offering a fun and engaging experience enriched with fascinating stories and curiosities. Amid Baroque masterpieces and the evocative settings of Montalbano's novels, you will fall in love with this enchanting ancient village. The tour lasts about 2 hours, covering approximately 2 km, and includes key stops such as the historic center of Ragusa Ibla, the Giardino Ibleo, the ancient portal of San Giorgio, Piazza Pola and the church of San Giuseppe, the Circolo di Conversazione, Piazza Duomo, and the Duomo of San Giorgio. We will then proceed along the picturesque Corso XXV Aprile with its iconic monuments. Note: Internal visits to the churches may not be possible in the event of weddings or other religious functions. In such cases, the guide will provide all the essential information from outside the building.

Cancelling the booking within 48 hours before the tour no cancellation fee is required and you will be full refund. Cancelling between 24 and 48 hours prior the starting time of the tour, 50% of the cost will be retained as cancellation fee. No refund is possible cancelling less than 24 hours prior the starting time or in case of 'no show'. The tours run will all weather conditions, rain or shine.
